Operation
Switching the Ambient light on and off using the Easy Touch technology
▪ Touch anywhere on the stainless steel casing to switch the light on. Repeatedly touching the casing
cycles through the three brightness settings and then switches the light off.

Topping up with water
When the water level display is only just visible from the
duct, you should add more water.
Pour water in through the fi lling funnel by the water level
display.
Top it up with enough water so that the ring on the water
level display is level with the fi lling funnel.
Warning: If the ring on the water level indicator is higher than the fi lling funnel, the water tank is too
full. This causes the water tank to overfl ow and the surface underneath (e.g. the surface of wooden
furniture or similar) may be damaged.
If necessary, check that the fl oat is inserted correctly: the fl oat must sit vertically in the slot.
Inserting a herb/plant pot
▪ Unpack the individual parts of the WMF AMBIENT Herbs @ home Single and, if necessary, remove
all adhesive tape so that the stainless steel casing can be removed from the water tank.
▪ Place the fl oat into the designated recess in the water tank and add water to the water tank until
it reaches the MAX mark.
▪ Rotate the stainless steel casing by 180° and insert the plug into the connector inside the casing
intended for this purpose. The plug only fi ts into one socket.
▪ Then fi x the cable to the cable bushing on the casing which is directly aligned with the connection.
Guide the cable out of the cachepot in a straight line and make sure that the fi xing is secure.
▪ Rotate the stainless steel casing by 180° again and place it along the guide rods on the water tank.
The large opening in the water tank and the cable outlet can be used as a guide.
▪ Place the height adjustable insert inside the stainless steel cachepot and fi x it at the required
height on the three side grooves.
▪ Set up the plant pot with a wick:
⋅ Place the wick between the tines of the wick holder. Stretch the wick along the length of the
wick holder and hold both wick ends at the bottom end of the wick holder.
⋅ Use the wick holder to slide the wick as far as it will go into one of the holes on the underside
of the plant pot. If this is diffi cult, twist the wick holder whilst pushing in.
⋅ Let go of the wick and pull the wick holder out. The wick stays in the pot automatically. Keep
the wick holder in a safe place. You can also leave the wick holder sticking into the plant pot
to prevent it getting lost.
▪ Place the plant pot and wick into the water tank on the height-adjustable insert so that the wick
extends into the water.
▪ Now place the half-lids into the cachepot. For the half-lid with the water level display, there is a
semi-circular recess in the LED light ring.
▪ When doing so, hold the plants to prevent them getting wedged in.
▪ Pour some water onto the plants from above to establish the fl ow of water between the wick, roots
and water tank.
▪ Plug in the mains adapter.
