SUBWOOFER INSTALLATION
KIT INSTRUCTIONS
Subwoofer Installation Instructions:
The Wirez SWKTB12-3 is designed to allow you to install a single subwoofer into a subwoofer
enclosure. The kit includes foam tape, mounting screws, 3 feet of 12 gauge Tech Series speaker wire
and terminals.
If you are not comfortable with any of the procedures outlined in this document, Wirez strongly
recommends that you have your subwoofer installed by a professional.
Installation Procedure:
1.
Remove the subwoofer from it’s packaging and test fi t into the subwoofer enclosure to ensure
there is adequate clearance in terms of mounting depth and cutout diameter.
2.
With the logo of the subwoofer oriented as desired, use a pencil to mark the locations of the
mounting holes for the subwoofer
3.
Remove the subwoofer and pre-drill the mounting holes with a 7/64” or 3/32” drill bit.
4.
Ensure the mounting surface of the subwoofer is clean and free of dust and contaminants, then
apply the foam tape to the mounting edge.
5.
Wire the subwoofer to the speaker terminal connection of your enclosure using the appropriate
terminals. For multiple subwoofer installations, use the Woofer Wiring Diagrams below to
achieve the correct impedance such that you present a safe load for your amplifi er, and one that
will allow it to produce maximum power.
6.
Place the subwoofer into the enclosure and secure using the supplied screws. Wirez
recommends caution when using power drivers as they can often slip out of the screw, resulting
in damage to your subwoofer or the enclosure.
7.
Install the subwoofer enclosure into your vehicle, connect it to your amplifi er, set the gains on
your amp properly and enjoy!
