Chapter 3 Initialization and Calibration

Viewing Communications

The “COMMUNICATIONS” item on the Diagnostic Menu (see Figure 3-10) allows you to verify

communications between SmartPAC and AutoSetPAC. To view communications, perform the

following steps:
1.

Select “DIAGNOSTICS” on the Main Initialization Menu (see Figure 3-2) to display the

Diagnostic Menu.

Select “COMMUNICATIONS” on the Diagnostic Menu to display the Communication Data

Viewer screen, shown in Figure 3-11.

Press the F1 function key on the Communication Data Viewer screen to change the F1 label from

“Combined Tx and Rx” to “Split Tx and Rx.”

Select “PORT 2 (Modules).” A screen like the one shown in Figure 3-12 will appear.
