Ripper Tine Adjustment
Before installation/maintenance, ensure both tractor and
attachment are stationary, with the hydraulic lift system in a neutral
position and the ignition key removed. Take care when handling
blades, wear gloves and use suitable tools.
Very hard ground may require ‘ripping’ to loosen the soil to allow the
scraper blade to work effectively. Reduce the tractor speed and lower the
tines by 5cm increments to improve the working depth. Make several runs
on harder soil, and await rainfall to soften the soil if required.
Lift the box grader to access the tines. Ensure the box grader is stable with
rigid supports before adjusting the ripper tine:
1.
Remove the R clip (1) and remove the curved pin (2).
2.
Move the ripper tines (3) up or down to the desired height and align
the holes on the tine and body.
3.
Then re-insert pin (2) in the slot and replace R clip (1).
4.
Repeat the process for the remaining tines so they are all level.
