Pinion and Flywheel Teeth

2.1

Procedure

Note: Make sure that only a thin layer of lubricant is applied to the tooth flanks of

the pinion (2,

Fig. 1

) and the flywheel teeth (3). This makes sure that the

lubricant stays on the tooth surfaces during engine operation.

F 3 ULTRA

In order to reach a very

thin shiny layer of lubri-

cant, it is recommended

to warm up Klüberfluid

to approx. 35

C in a

small tin which is put into

warm water.

2.2

Lubrication Intervals

Examine the teeth approximately each 2000 operation hours, or more frequently if

necessary. When there is a minimum of lubricant remaining on the teeth (e.g. when

the teeth are almost dry) lubricate the teeth.
