
Rice Cooker Operating Instructions
Congratulations on owning this fine WINCO Rice Cooker!
Please kindly take a moment to read through the following important information.
OPERATION
1. Measure rice into the pan and add proper amount of water. As a rule of thumb, the ratio of 1.5
cups of water to 1 cup of rice is preferable.
2. Place the pan in the rice cooker body and turn it slightly so it is properly seated onto the heating
plate with full contact to ensure even heating.
3. Close the lid and plug the power cord to a wall outlet.
4. Press down the switch button. The ‘Rice Cooking’ lamp lights up. If the pan is not placed in
the body, the cooker should not be switched ON.
5. When the rice is cooked, the switch is turned OFF automatically with ‘Rice Cooking’ lamp
going off while ‘Keep Warm’ lamp turns ON.
6. Keep the lid on for another 15 minutes to ensure that the rice is thoroughly cooked.
7. Please unplug the power cord after the cook and keep warm operation is completed.

CLEANING:
1. Be sure to unplug the power cord and wait till the body is cooled off.
2. Clean the body with mild detergent and a damp cloth, wipe dry using a clean, soft cloth.
3. Remove the pan and inner lid from the body and clean them with mild detergent and rinse
completely; dry with soft cloth.
4. Do not use abrasive powder or steel wool for cleaning the lid and the pan. It will cause
damages to the surface.
5. Grains of rice or other foreign matter may stick to the heating plate. These must be removed
to ensure proper and full contact of the pan with the heating plate.
