3. Connect a standard (analog) telephone set to the RJ-11 VoIP ports using standard
telephone cable.
The WiMAX Residential Gateway enables VoIP calls to be made through the unit using
a regular (analog) telephone set connected to a VoIP port, or from PCs or other network
devices connected to the LAN ports. Standard Session Initiation Protocol (SIP)
technology is used to make VoIP calls.
4. From a connected PC, use a web browser to access the WiMAX Residential Gateway’s
web interface. The web interface allows you to configure gateway features, WiMAX
settings, and VoIP details.
Set the PC's IP settings to "Obtain an IP address automatically," then follow the
instructions below to access the web interface and start the Basic Setup.
