Harness
Warning:
The harness has to be correctly attached to the device and has to be usable before the
device is operated.
Before operating the device, ensure that the har-
ness is set to an appropriate and comfortable
length. It is important that the device is positioned
parallelly to the ground when the harness is worn.
Position the shoulder pads accordingly in order to
guarantee a maximum of comfort and safety. Make
sure that the clips are pointing forward and fix the
pads in place.
Handle
1. Place the handle in a comfortable position on the extension rod and lightly fasten it with the
help of screws.
2. Pick the device up and make any necessary adjustments to the position of the handle until an
ideal position is found.
3. Secure the handle by tightly fastening the screws in order to prevent it from moving uninten-
tionally.
Information on cutting
Important:
Attach the protective cover before beginning the operation, and do not use the
device without it.
Wield the device similar to a scythe, carefully moving it from one side to the other and back.
The thread cutter automatically cuts the thread off if it should get too long.
In order to extend the length of the nylon thread released from the spool, lightly press the
device against the ground while the spool is turning.
Immediately stop the device in case of irregularities concerning the spool rotation and thread.
Cut off grass might have entangled the spool and obstruct its rotation. Disconnect the device
from its power supply, wait for the spool to stop completely, and remove the grass.
Maintenance
Repair and in-depth maintenance work always has to be performed by qualified personnel in
order to ensure a proper and secure operation.
Before cleaning the device or performing repair and maintenance work, always make sure to
turn the device off and to disconnect it from its power supply.
Allow the device to cool down before beginning any kind of cleaning, repair, or maintenance
work in order to minimise the risk of injury.
Always only use a wet piece of cloth or a brush to clean the device. Never use sprays or other
means.
In order to avoid damaging the device, never use solvents, detergents, or other chemical sub-
stances to clean the device.
Air inlets and outlets should always kept clean in order to ensure that the air flow is not ob-
structed.
Make sure to clean the device after every single use.
Use an oily rag in order to maintain metal parts after cleaning.
Storage
Clean the device before storing it for longer periods of time and before it is re-used.
Always store the device in a dry environment inaccessible to children.
