NOTICE
A CIF module can only be selected as a setpoint source if a CIF module is
installed. If no CIF module is installed, the menu item cannot be selected
(‚greyed out‘). If the setpoint is selected via the "Analogue input AI 2", the
analogue input can be set via the Settings menu.
If an external setpoint source is selected (analogue input or CIF module), the menu item
"substitute setpoint" appears. A fixed setpoint can be specified here, which is used for the
control in the event of a failure of the setpoint source (e.g. cable break at the analogue input,
no communication with the CIF module).
• Zero flow test: ON/OFF. When confirming the " Zero flow test " menu item, you can
choose between switch OFF and switch ON. When selecting switch ON, another menu
item “Zero flow test delay” appears. The delay time before to stop the pump can be set
here.
NOTICE
In water supply systems, there are times with all taps are closed and no
flow demand.
The control function “zero-flow test” detects these states and stops the
pump during these times. This saves electrical energy and avoids pump
wear.
A zero- flow test is performed cyclically by briefly decreasing the pressure
setpoint. In some cases, the pressure setpoint is at first increased and then
decreased back to the prior pressure setpoint.
If the discharge pressure drops according to the decreased constant pres-
sure setpoint, there is flow demand and the pump continues operation.
If the discharge pressure does not drop according to the decreased pres-
sure setpoint, there is no flow demand in the water supply system.
If necessary, the pump increases the discharge pressure again to charge
the membrane tank for better user comfort.
Then the pump is stopped after “zero flow test delay” has expired.
