Operating fluid
The product uses the following operating fluids:
ƒ
The seal housing is filled with white oil.
ƒ
The gear and the pre-chamber are filled with gear oil.
Replace the operating fluids during regular maintenance work and dispose of them ac-
cording to the local guidelines.

Operator responsibilities
ƒ
Provide installation and operating instructions in a language which the personnel can
understand.
ƒ
Make sure that the personnel is relevantly trained for the specified work.
ƒ
Provide the necessary protective equipment and make sure that personnel wear it.
ƒ
Safety and information signs mounted on the device must always be legible.
ƒ
Train the personnel on how the system operates.
ƒ
Eliminate risk from electrical current.
ƒ
Demarcate and cordon off the working area.
ƒ
To ensure safe working practice, define personnel responsibilities.
ƒ
Carry out sound pressure measurement when the product is in normal operation. If
the measured sound pressure is more than 85 dB(A), wear hearing protection and in-
clude such instruction in the work regulations!

Application/use
3.1
Intended use
The mixers are suitable for both intermittent and continuous duty in drainage and
sewage (with and without faeces) as well as in sludge:
ƒ
for flow generation
ƒ
for suspension of solid matter
ƒ
for homogenisation
Intended use also includes compliance with this manual. Any use other than the inten-
ded use is regarded as improper use.
3.2
Improper use
The mixers must not be used in:
ƒ
Drinking water
ƒ
Non-Newtonian fluids
ƒ
Severely contaminated fluids containing hard components such as stone, wood,
metals, etc.
ƒ
Highly flammable and explosive fluids in pure form

Propeller made of solid or composite material, clogging-free thanks to backward-
curved incoming flow edge.
NOTICE! The propeller must not emerge during opera-
tion. Observe specified minimum water immersion!
