Frequency
This contr
ol makes

ments
to
the
transmitter
pulse rate. This
is used to counteract any interference
which might be due to outside electro-
magnetic sources, such as radio sta-
tions, microwave, s
hort wave, electric
fences, power lines, lightening, electri-
cal storms, or other metal dete
ctors being used nearby
. This
interference is recognized by a wa
rbling or repetitive pulsing of
the audio threshold, and can mask tar
get signals.
If you are experiencing in
terference, adjust the
Fre
q
ue
n
cy
control for minimal chatter
.
Adjustments should be done in
small steps, with a few seconds
between each adjustment to see
if the unit settles down. If you
cannot deal with interference
with the
Fre
q
ue
n
cy
control, then reduce the
Ga
in
and/or
Thr
esh-
old
settings to obtain a reasona
bly stable operating point..
