TIP: If the door seems too tight move the two guy ropes either side of the door in towards the
middle of the door to relieve some tension.
TIP: All the guylines need to follow the lines of seams in the roof. When fixing guylines, pay
attention to the angle of ropes for optimum grounding and tent setup. 45 degree projection with
respect to guylines, tent and ground. It is important to make sure the tent stays symmetrical and
that the tension is evenly spread. The Jpegs should be staked at least 1 yard away from the tent.
TIP: Adjust the guylines slider which will allow adjustment in both directions. Adjust the friction
locks or triangular metal tension adjusters on each guyline as needed. Gently tight through the
runners, also, ensure the door is closed to avoid too much tension on opening
Creases will appear in the canvas if the guylines have not been positioned correctly. It is an
important thing to consider as water will gather in creases which can cause leaks in heavy rain.
The aim should be to keep your center pole as straight as possible. Too much tension on one
side will make your bell tent look lopsided.
Note: Turn it around for upward
and downward movement.
