Hardware Included:
10 -24 X 3/8 Hex Nut SS (Qty 2) (for Nutsert install)
.296" Deep X .585" Long Nutserts (Qty 2)
10-24 X 1/2" Hex Head Machine Screw (Qty 2)
10-24 X 3/4" Hex Hd Machine Screw (Qty 2) (for Nutsert install)

Installation:
1.
Remove the insulation lining the inside of the trunk (Fig. 1).
Installing the Nutsert

Widen the hole indicated in Figure 2, to .296" to prepare it for
the installation of the Nutsert.
3.
Screw the
10 - 24 X 3/8 Hex Nut
onto the
10-24 X 3/4" Hex
Head Machine Screw
, followed by a
#10 Flat Washer
.
4.
Hand screw the bolt through the middle of the Nutsert
threads until it comes out the other side.
5.
Put the Nutsert (with bolt and washer) into the hole.
6.
Using vise grips or a spanner hold the top of the bolt head.
7.
Start to tighten the nut (clockwise direction). This pulls the
Nutsert up and expands the Nutsert which will hug
underneath the panel and lock it in.
8.
When it gets extremely hard to rotate the nut, the Nutsert is
installed. Remove the machine screw, washer and nut.
9.
Replace the trunk insulation you removed in step 1 (Fig. 3).
Installing the Bracket
10. After installing the lighthead (sold separately) to the bracket,
loosen the existing bolt indicated in figure 2 just enough to
slide the bracket underneath, then tighten the bolt.
11. Secure the other end of the bracket with the supplied

X 1/2” Hex Head Machine Screw
and
#10 Flatwasher.
12. Extend the wires of the lighthead to the power source and
wire as shown in the lighthead instructions.

All customer supplied wires that connect to the
positive terminal of the battery must be sized to supply at
least 125% of the maximum operating current and FUSED at
the battery to carry that load. DO NOT USE CIRCUIT
BREAKERS WITH THIS PRODUCT!
