Using
Attaching the Neck Band
If desired, attach the neck band on the intended attachment points. Make sure the
neck band is securely attached and does not slip out.
Do not let the night binoculars swing around on the neck band. The binoculars
may become damaged when hitting another object.
When hanging the night binoculars on your neck, make sure not to get caught.
There is risk of injury!
Tripod Adaptor Thread
On the front side of the central drive you will find the tripod adaptor thread (6)
under the plastic cap. You can order a tripod adaptor from Westfalia under the
article no. 83 20 71. A tripod is perfect when viewing objects for long periods of
time (e. g. starry sky observation).
Make sure the tripod always has a safe stand to avoid damages.
Cleaning and Storing
For cleaning the lenses, only use the included cloth or a similar soft cloth,
e.g. eyeglass cleaning cloth. To remove dirt from the lenses, moisten the cloth
with little pure alcohol or lens care fluid.
Alternatively you can use a soft cleaning brush.
The night binoculars are maintenance-free. Do not disassemble the unit for
cleaning!
Avoid strong mechanical stresses. Store the night binoculars in a dry place
when not in use. Avoid storing the unit in the car because changes in tempera-
ture and humidity may damage or misalign the optical system.
The night binoculars come with protective caps. When not in use, cover the
lenses and the eyepieces with the protective caps.
