Using
Intended Use
The Digital Lux Meter is a high-precision measuring instrument for
the precise measuring of the illuminance and the incidence of light
on a particular area. The measurement is performed via a photo-
electric cell and the measuring result is indicated in three measuring
ranges on the LC display.
Do not expose the device directly to water or humidity. The housing
is not water-proof!
Any use different from the one described above leads to damage to
this product. Furthermore, it involves dangers such as e.g. short-
circuit, burns, etc. The entire product must not be opened, modified
or rebuilt.
Before first Use
Unpack the Digital Lux Meter and check it for any damage in transit.
Dispose of packaging materials or store them out of reach of
children. Plastic bags etc. may become a deadly toy for children.
Inserting/Replacing the Battery
The Digital Lux Meter is powered by a 9 V battery of the type 6LR61
(not included). We recommend only using alkaline batteries.
1. The battery compartment (4) is located at the rear side of the
housing. Remove the small screw of the battery compartment
cover and open the battery compartment.
2. Connect a new 9 V battery with the battery clip. Pay attention to
the proper polarity. Insert the battery into the battery compart-
ment.
3. Close the battery compartment with the cover and secure it with
the small screw.
4. Replace the battery as soon as the low battery indicator icon
appears on the display.
