Safety Notes
ƒ Make sure the voltage corresponds to the type label on the unit.
ƒ Please read this manual carefully and use the charger only
according to this manual.
ƒ Dispose of the packaging materials or store them in a safe place
out of the reach of children. There is a danger of suffocation!
ƒ The charger may not be used if the unit or the power cable are
damaged. If this happens, please have the unit repaired by a
professional.
ƒ While charging lead-acid or lead-acid/gel batteries explosive or
hazardous gasses can develop. For this reason charge lead-acid
batteries only in well-ventilated areas. Avoid naked flames and
sparks.
ƒ Do not charge other batteries but lead-acid and lead-acid/gel
batteries.
ƒ Make sure the ventilation slots are free from obstructions.
ƒ The unit may only be connected to a 230 V AC / 50 Hz (10 / 16 A)
protected socket.
ƒ
Do not attempt to charge old, damaged, deeply discharged or
otherwise defective lead-acid batteries.
ƒ Please do not use the unit outdoors.
ƒ The unit does not belong into the hands of children.
ƒ Please do not wear conductive jewellery as necklaces, bracelets or
rings while using the unit.
ƒ Avoid contact with the battery acid. Battery acid can cause severe
burns! In case of contact wash with liberal amounts of fresh water
and, if necessary, contact a physician.
