Troubleshooting Chart
Dolly will not lift load
1. Release valve not tightly closed
1. Ensure release knob tightly closed
2. Overload condition
2. Remedy overload condition
Dolly bleeds off after lift
1. Release valve not tightly closed
1. Ensure release valve tightly closed
2. Hydraulic unit malfunctioning

Dolly will not lower after unloading
1. Reservoir overfilled
1. Ensure load is removed, then drain
fluid to proper level
2. Linkages binding
2. Clean and lubricate moving parts
Poor lift performance
1. Fluid level low
1. Ensure proper fluid level
2. Air trapped in system
2. With ram fully retracted, remove oil
filler plug to let pressurized air
escape, reinstall oil filler plug

movement.
2. When tire & wheel assembly are ready
to remove, position wheel
dolly to accept tire & wheel assembly
and adjust the length of chain provided
to secure load.
3. Use jack handle to turn release valve
clockwise until tight. DO NOT
OVERTIGHTEN. Insert jack handle
into handle sleeve of bottle jack and
pump until lifting arm reaches desired
height.
NOTE:
Do not use wheel dolly to free a
seized up wheel assembly. For typical
practice of taking out a seized up wheel
assembly, a long metal bar can be used
to pry the wheel assembly from the stuck
wheel axle. If in doubt, always follow
vehicle’s manufacturer manual on how to
remove tire & wheel assembly.
4. Use load leveler to prepare dolly for
moving. Carefully move loaded wheel
dolly away from hub.
5. To install, reverse order.
NOTE:
The purpose of the angle frame
and chain is just to hold or secure the
load in place while removing or
transporting. Do not use it to pull out the
seized up tire or wheel assembly. Do not
use it as a structure support or other
means. Use the main frame to push or
pull while installing or removing the tire/
wheel assembly.
Be sure all tools and personnel are clear
before lowering load. Dangerous dynamic
shock loads are created by quickly
opening and closing
the release valve as
load is being lowered. The resulting
overload may cause hydraulic system
failure which could cause severe personal
injury and/or property damage.
MAINTENANCE
Periodically check jack fluid level. Level
of fluid should be even with filler plug
hole. Use Mobil DTE 13M or equivalent.
NOTE:
Never fill jack with alcohol,
glycerin, brake fluid, transmission fluid.
Damage to jack’s load bearing
capabilities can result if other then good
grade hydraulic jack fluid in used.
