This mechanism is of the compressed air closed, spring opened type. It

is pneumatically  trip free,  suitable for  ultra  high-speed reclosing,  and  is  appli
cable  to  indoor  and  outdoor  service.  Application  of  this  mechanism  is  some
times  made  where  high  speed  reclosing  is  not  required,  but  where  it  is  de
sirable  to  eliminate  large  batteries  required  for  solenoid  mechanisms.
