4.  INSTALLATION

To install the hood, it is necessary to remove the baseplate, filters
and chimney (if fitted) to gain access to fixing holes, duct spigot(s)
and electrical supply cords & connections.

General Installation

Open  the  appliance  door  by  pulling  from  the  right  to  release  the
magnets. The door is hinged to reveal the filter. Remove the filter
(as described in SECTION 6).

Once the filter has been removed, locate the 4 fixing screws that
retain  the  base  plate  (see  above  illustration).  Separate  the
baseplate by pulling the panel assembly away from the rest of the
appliance.

With  the  baseplate  now  removed,  the  4  wall  fixing  holes  should
now be visible. (see above illustration).

position the two parts of the telescopic chimney against the wall
and mark the chimney bracket fixing position. Fit the chimney
bracket to the wall using the most suitable fixing for the type of
wall.

In  preparation  for  the  electrical  installation  phase,  route  and
position the power cable so it can be easily accessed once the
chimney has been re-installed.

Duct Spigot Position

The appliance will be supplied with either a top outlet exhaust
or a rear outlet exhaust.

If  the  top  outlet  exhaust  option  has  been  selected,  but  the
ducting  routes  through  a  wall to  the  rear,  then the  installation
will require 215mm minimum head room in order to achieve  a
smooth 90

o

 bend using 150mm flexible ducting.
