Operation
Please note the following safety notes to avoid malfunctions,
damage or physical injury:
Make sure the voltage corresponds to the type label on the appliance.
Persons with limited physical, sensorial or mental abilities are not allowed
to use the unit, unless they are supervised and briefed for their safety by a
qualified person.
Never leave the appliance unattended while it is in use. Be very careful
when the appliance is used in the presence of children.
Keep all parts of the appliance clean at all times as they come into direct
contact with food.
Do not immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid. If the appliance
or the plug accidentally should become wet, disconnect the power cord
immediately and have the appliance checked by an electrician before using
it again. Never attempt to open the appliance yourself.
Never put any metallic objects into the grille openings of the appliance.
Be careful, the top grille will become very hot during use.
Do not operate the appliance with wet hands, on a damp floor or when the
appliance itself is wet. Do not touch the power plug with wet hands.
Do not allow the cable to hang over sharp edges and keep it well away
from hot objects and open flames (e.g. gas oven). Remove the plug from
the socket only by pulling on the plug, never on the cord.
Do not use the appliance outdoors.
Always remove the plug from the power socket when the appliance is not in
use and before cleaning it. Never use the cable to carry the appliance.
Do not toast bread slices which are wrapped in aluminium or plastic foils.
CAUTION:
bread can burn. Never use the toaster near or underneath
curtains or other flammable materials.
Never cover the appliance during use.
Place the appliance on a level surface during use. Do not place the
appliance in a sink, on a drip board or on any inclined surface. Do not allow
the cable to hang down or to touch the toaster while using.
Do not use the appliance if it has been dropped or damaged in any way or
if the cable or plug are damaged. In case of damage, contact a professional
or our customer support department.
Do not disassemble the appliance and do not try to repair it yourself. The
appliance does not contain parts serviceable by you.
