Maintenance and Cleaning
Switch (B). The blades start rotating and will dig into the ground. Pull the
device slowly in parallel lines through the ground. Make absolutely sure that
you do not injure your feet.
Maintenance
Before starting any work on the
device, pull out the mains plug..
The worm gear must always contain
sufficient gear grease. For topping
up the gear grease, loosen the screw
labelled C in figure 2 by means of a
hexagonal key. Then you can fill the
gear grease into the opening.
Preferably use a grease gun for this.
Should during working the blades have become bent or damaged, each blade
can be dismantled by loosening two screws (D). Realign the blade or replace it
by a new one. You can obtain replacement blades from Westfalia Werkzeug
Company.
Cleaning
For cleaning the device, use a stiff brush and a damp cloth, do not use any
aggressive chemicals or abrasives. Ensure that no liquids can ingress into the
device.
This device does not contain any user serviceable parts. Do not dismantle it
and do not attempt to repair it yourself.
