Assembly and Operation
Before first Use
Take the bench saw and all accessory parts out of the package. As transport protection a
Styrofoam block is wedged in the machine. Remove it before setting up the machine.
Please make sure all parts are present.
Dispose of packaging materials or store it out of reach of children. Plastic bags etc. may become a
deadly toy for children.
Start-Up
1.
During operation the bench saw must be solidly attached to a firm and even surface. If the
machine is just placed on a workbench and not attached, it might move during operation.
2.
The machine is delivered with three additional supports. The two lateral work piece supports
are inserted into the holes on the sides and the rear support is inserted from the rear with the
angled portion facing down. Secure the supports with the clamping screws.
3.
Before connecting the machine to the power mains, please make sure the mains voltage in
your area corresponds to the operating voltage stated on the type label. If you are using a
cord reel as an extension cord, please roll the cord off the reel completely, because
otherwise the coiled cable on the reel may overheat and become damaged.
ON/OFF Switch (1)
To turn the machine ON, push the
green
button and to turn off the machine, press the
red
button.
The ON/OFF switch is a safety switch with low voltage circuit breaker. The construction of the
switch makes sure that the machine will not accidentally restart after power failure.
Dust Extraction
On the back side of the housing is the dust extraction flange. With a suitable adaptor you can
connect the dust bag, a dust extractor or a vacuum cleaner. Do not use the saw without some kind
of dust catching or dust extraction system.
Converting the Saw
Before converting the saw disconnect it from the power supply!
The convert the saw from a table saw to a crosscut and metre saw loosen the
turnknobs (15) and set the table to the highest position. Lock the table in place with the turnknobs.
Lightly press down the upper part of the saw by the handle and pull out the retaining pin (17).
Allow the upper part of the saw to swing up and take out the Protective tub (19).
To convert the saw from a crosscut and mitre saw to a table saw set the cutting angle along both
axes exactly to zero. Place the protective tub (19) on the turn table and hook it into the fence.
Press the unlocking button (2) and push down the upper part of the saw and hold it in the lowest
position. Push the retaining pin (17) in to secure the upper part. Loosen the turnknobs (15) and set
the table to the lowest position and secure it by tightening the turnknobs.
Operation as a Crosscut and Mitre Saw
Set the machine up as a crosscut and mitre saw as described above in the chapter “Converting
the Saw”.
When using the machine a mitre saw, set the cutting angle along both axes. To do so, loosen the
turnknob (6) and turn the rotatable table until the indicator on the forward degree scale is set to
zero. Secure the rotatable table by tightening the turnknob. Loosen the turnknob (18) and set the
mitre angle using the rear scale. Secure the upper part of the saw by tightening the turnknob.
