Operating
Charging the Batteries
1. Plug the power plug of the batter charger (2) into a wall socket.
The charging LED (1) shines green.
2. Slide the function selection switch (5) at the battery pack (8) to
the position OFF .
3. Connect the charging cable of the battery charger to the
charging socket (6) of the battery pack. The charging LED
shines red. The charging process starts.
4. The charging process is completed when the charging LED
switches from red to green. The charging time for an empty
battery is approx. 2 – 3 hours.
Notes:
ƒ Before first use charge the battery completely.
ƒ After charging the battery pack can be left connected to the
battery charger. This will not damage the batteries. The batter-
ies do not have to be charged completely each time. The
battery pack can be operated semi charged in the jacket as
well.
Using
1. Slide the function selection switch (5) to the position OFF .
2. Place the battery pack in the corresponding storage compart-
ment (9) at the inside of the jacket.
3. Connect the connection cable for the heating elements (7) to
the corresponding socket at the battery pack.
4. For a low heating stage slide the function selection switch to
the position Low (4). For a high heating stage slide the func-
tion selection switch to the position High (3). The correspond-
ing LEDs (green resp. red) indicate the selected stage. A few
minutes later the three heating elements already produce
convenient warmth when wearing the jacket.
