Safety Notes
Please note the following safety notes to avoid malfunctions,
damage or physical injury:
ƒ This manual belongs to the product. It contains important notes on operating
the unit. Please pass it on along with the unit if it is handed over to a third
party!
ƒ Dispose of the packaging materials carefully; the plastic bags may become a
deadly toy for children.
ƒ The solar snowman is not a toy. It does not belong in the hands of children.
ƒ The solar snowman has been designed as a decorative article. Do not use its
light source as sole light source for pathways or similar.
ƒ Please only use a NiMH rechargeable battery 1.2 V with at least 600 mAh of
the size LR06 (AA). NiCd batteries are only of very limited use due to their
memory effect. Ordinary, non-rechargeable batteries must not be.
ƒ Rechargeable batteries may not be disassembled, burned or short-circuited.
ƒ The solar snowman is splash water proof (IP44).
ƒ Wipe the solar snowman with a lightly moistened cloth. Use detergent as
needed. Do not immerse the solar snowman in water or any other liquid.
ƒ Do not use aggressive chemicals or abrasives for cleaning in order not to
damage the surfaces.
ƒ Close proximity to strong transmitters may cause malfunctions. Strong
transmitters can be e.g. amateur radio operators in your neighbourhood or
transmitting masts for mobile telephone systems or broadcasting stations.
ƒ Do not disassemble the unit or attempt to repair it yourself. It does not
contain parts serviceable by you. In the case of questions or problems, turn to
our customer support.
Batteries and rechargeable batteries do not
belong in household garbage.
