Operation
Before first Use
Remove the machine and the accessory from the packaging. Keep packaging
material out of reach of small children. There is risk of suffocation!
Attaching/Changing the Sanding Disc
Sanding discs for the rotary sander can be purchased from the Westfalia
Werkzeug Company.
1. Simply pull the sanding disc off the sanding plate. Select a sanding disc
which is suitable for the material you intend to sand.
2. Simply stick the sanding disc to the sanding plate. Make sure the whole
pattern of the sanding disc corresponds to the holes in the sanding plate to
ensure good dust extraction.
Attaching the Dust Bag
The rotary sander is equipped with a flange for attaching dust extraction
equipment or a dust bag.
1. Attach the dust bag (5) or the suction tube of a vacuum cleaner or a dust
extractor to the dust extractor flange (4).
2. Do not work without dust extractor or dust bag.
Adjusting the Auxiliary Handle
1. Loosen the wing nut (8) of the auxiliary handle (9).
2. Move the auxiliary handle (9) until it snaps in place in the desired position.
Tighten the wing nut (8) hand tight. For precise and safe working always
use the auxiliary handle.
Turning ON/OFF
1. Plug the power plug into a suitable wall socket.
2. To turn the machine ON press and hold the ON/OFF switch (1) and to turn
the OFF, release the ON/OFF switch (1).
3. For convenience and fatigue-free working it is advisable to use the locking
button (2). For locking the switch, press the ON/OFF switch (1) and press
the lock button (2). To unlock, press the ON/OFF switch again and then
replace it.
