Operation
Assembling the Grinder
The grinding wheels must be attached to the unit after delivery. The leather
honing wheel is attached to the right hand side of the shaft. The locking pieces on
the wheel and the shaft must engage with each other. Secure the wheel with a
washer and the included plastic knob. Turn the knob clockwise to tighten it. Slide
the grindstone over the left hand side end of the shaft and secure it with the
included nut. Please keep in mind that the nut has
left hand threads . Turn the
nut counter clockwise to tighten it. Slide the water container under the wheel and
hook it into the slots in the housing.
Before using the leather wheel for the first time, apply a thin coat of polishing
compound to the leather surface.
The tool support can be installed horizontally of vertically as desired.
Before operation, fill the water container with water up to the max mark. As the
stone absorbs water, refill the container until the stone is saturated with water.
The Tool Support
Insert the tool support into the mounting holes as shown below and secure it with
the turn knobs. The tool support can be installed either horizontally or vertically
and facing to the left or to the right.
