ƒ
Check the steel cable regularly over complete length for damages and check
that the limit switch (part no. 49 in the exploded diagram) is functioning cor-
rectly. Raise the cable winch until the switch-off lever (upper end) (A
) acti-
vates the limit switch.
ƒ If the steel cable is damaged, e.g. buckled or torn, have it replaced with a new
cable. Have the cable replaced by a specialist workshop. The switch-off
weight (E) must not be forgotten when fitting the new cable as this guarantees
correct operation of the limit switch.
ƒ
Lubricate the pulley (D) regularly with a little oil.
ƒ Make sure, the winch is always clean, dry and free from oil.
ƒ Only use a dry or slightly damp cloth to clean the winch. Do not use aggres-
sive cleaners or inflammable substances such as petrol, thinners, turpentine
etc. under any circumstances.
ƒ Pay attention, that the ventilation slots are clean and unblocked at all times in
order to prevent the unit from overheating.
ƒ Before switching on, check that all mechanical parts of the winch run easily.
