5.2 Accessing the ProtectLink BDA GUI
Access the ProtectLink BDA using web browser software on your computer through a
LAN connection. A Google Chrome browser optimizes the GUI without formatting
issues that can be noticeable with other browsers. The BDA ships with the IP address
192.168.1.150
on the
GUI
port.
To connect directly to the BDA from a laptop or PC with a CAT-5E cable or over a
LAN, change the TCP/IP settings on your computer to enable a connection to a host
that has a static IP. Follow these steps:
1. Open your computer’s Control Panel or Settings and navigate to All Control Panel
Items and then to Network Connections (or Network and Sharing Center).
2. Choose an appropriate Local area connection. For example:
Properties windows will appear to make network connection settings as shown in
below.
