1.0. Introduction
Aeromatic sells a wide range of pneumatic servo drive units with rack and pinion gearing. They are
designed for actuating industrial fittings for liquid media and gases such as ballcocks or shut-off valves.
Their power is best supplied by oiled compressed air. The minimum service life has been tested at 1
million switch cycles. The initial greasing of the servo drive units is sufficient for 500,000 switch cycles if
the units are used for their intended purpose. The pneumatic servo drive units are available in a double-
action version (without reset springs) with a swing angle of 90° (120°, 130° and 180° to order) and as a
single-action version (reset by spring force) with a swing angle of 90°.
2.0. Storage
All pneumatic servo drive units are supplied ready-greased. The compressed air connections are
protected from the ingress of water or other materials during storage and transport by sealing plugs.
The servo drive units should be stored in an enclosed room to prevent harmful environmental influences.
If the servo drive units are stored for a lengthy period before installation, they must be actuated at
regular intervals to prevent the permanent deformation of the seals.
