9.2 Fresh water storage service
9.2.1 Notes on servicing
Servicing must only be carried out by qualified personnel. The system should be
serviced annually.
Weishaupt recommends a service contract is entered into to ensure regular in-

Prior to every servicing
Inform the operator about the extent of service work to be carried out.
Switch off installation and safeguard against accidental re-start.
Close fresh water inlet.
If necessary, remove fresh water storage tank.
Following servicing
Open fresh water inlet.
If necessary fill with water and vent.
Carry out soundness test.
Check anode current (greater than 1 mA), enter value and date on label.
Carry out a function test.

Magnesium anode
Anode current less than 1 mA
Check the insulated mounting of the
anode (minimum resistance 100 kΩ).
Check or request minimum conductiv-
ity of the water [ch. 9.2.4].
Check diameter.
Check condition of enamel.
If the anode current is still less than
1 mA, this may, in exceptional cases, be
due to an above-average enamel finish.
Wear
Check diameter (every 2 years).
Diameter over half the anode length less
than 15 mm
Replace
Externally powered anode (op-
tional)
Control lamp red or off
Check function.
Check the insulated mounting of the
anode (minimum resistance 100 kΩ).
Replace
Anode current less than 1 mA
Check function, if necessary restore.
Check the insulated mounting of the
anode (minimum resistance 100 kΩ).
Check or request minimum conductiv-
ity of the water [ch. 11.1].
Check condition of enamel.
If the anode current is still less than
1 mA, this may, in exceptional cases, be
due to an above-average enamel finish.
