11 Maintenance
11.4 Maintaining the reusable breathing
circuit
Requirement The reusable breathing circuit has been disassembled
(see "8.4 Disassembly of the reusable breathing circuit",
page 176)
.
1. Check all parts of the reusable breathing circuit for external
damage and complete labeling.
If necessary: Replace damaged or incorrectly labeled parts.
2. Replace the PEEP control diaphragm and check valve
diaphragm (maintenance kit WM 15779).
3. Assemble the reusable breathing circuit (see "8.10 Assembling
reusable breathing circuit", page 190) .
4. Punch out the date at which the next maintenance is due
on the service label (maintenance kit WM 15779).
5. Attach the service label to the end of the ventilation hose
which is closest to the device.
6. Perform a function check (see "9.3 Performing a function
check", page 201) .
Result The reusable breathing circuit has been maintained and is ready
for use.
