Observe any strange noise with the alternator in movement x
Inspect ventilation (air flow) x
Check insulation resistance x
Check and retighten the screws and connection terminals x
Check vibration and noise levels x
Inspect bearings x
Inspect connections of voltage regulator x
Clean the alternator inside and outside x
Inspect the connections and accessories operation x
Inspect the diodes x
Inspect the varistor x
Inspect the capacitor (if any) x
Lubricate the bearings (lubricated bearings) ¹ x
Replace bearings ²
Complete verification of the alternator – according to item 6.9 of this manual x

Check the lubrication interval and amount of grease in item 6.5.1 of this manual
2.
The change of the bearings must be done according to section 6.5.5 of this manual.
NOTE
The verifications and tasks described in the Table 7.1 must be performed according to item 6 of this manual.
