Mounting the baseplate
a)
Remove hood of roof-top unit.
b)
Place the baseplate on the roof (sealing frame) and align it. Place spacers under the eight fastening
points and insert the nine M6 bolts (with washers) into the holes (Fig. 4.4).
c)
Check that the baseplate has been positioned correctly and screw it tightly into place with the
washers, serrated washers and nuts included in the installation kit (tightening torque 9 Nm).
IMPORTANT
Ensure that moisture can escape between the vehicle roof and the
baseplate. When sealing the sealing frame, care must be taken to ensure
that the drains for condensation and rainwater remain free. Others seals
in addition to those described here using Sikaflex 221 and the Armaflex
sealing frame are therefore not permitted.
