easySPLIT
Thank you to buy an easySPLIT from the company Weatherdock AG. It is
the latest and the best available unit in the market. The core features
are:
· Active VHF Splitter to connect to the standard VHF antenna:
· 1 x VHF Radio
· 1 x AIS receiver. Recommended for use with easyAIS, but of course also
working with other AIS receivers.
· FM car radio
· (Enlarged DC power input)

Use of easySPLIT
It is very simple to use.
After mounting and connecting to the antenna, the easyAIS and the
VHF and eventually the FM radio, the unit is ready.
The Green “ON” LED is lit, if right connected to the board power
The Yellow “TX VHF” is lit, if there is a transmission via the VHF Radio

What is the easySPLIT doing?
The easysplit is an active frequency splitter.
It is measuring whether there is a transmit power injected from the VHF
through the easySPLIT to the antenna. In case that there is transmit
power, the easySPLIT is very very fast, faster than 10ms, disconnecting
the other units, connected to the easySPLIT, from the antenna.
So it is ensured, that the VHF power is forwarded solely from the VHF
radio to the antenna.
With this design several units needing a VHF antenna, can be connected
to one VHF antenna at the same time.
