Initial Bluetooth Connection
1. Power on the speaker and begin paring by pressing and holding the
button. Release the button when the voice prompt says, “Power on...
Bluetooth.” The speaker is now in Pairing Mode.
When pairing, remain within
3 feet of the Bluetooth device.
2. On your Bluetooth device, search for and select XSBW239 in the Bluetooth
Settings to pair. When successfully paired, a voice from the speaker will
announce “Bluetooth is connected.” Audio from the connected Bluetooth
device will now be heard through the speaker.
If need be, refer to the user’s
manual for your specific device for more information.
3. Use the controls on the connected Bluetooth device to select and play
audio. Use the speaker controls or the connected Bluetooth device to play,
pause, and adjust the volume level.
4. After initial pairing, press and hold
until the voice prompt says
“Power on...” This will be followed by “Bluetooth is connected,” as the
speaker powers ON and pairs to the last Bluetooth device used.
Charging the Battery
To power the unit or charge the internal battery, plug the Micro-USB charging
cable into the Micro-USB Power Input on the speaker and the USB port of a
powered on computer or USB power adapter (not included). Initial charge time is
approximately 7 hours.
To charge mobile devices, use an appropriate USB charging cable (included) to
connect the USB charging port on the unit and the device you wish to charge.
IMPORTANT: To ensure your speaker is prepared for use in a wet environment,
disconnect and remove any power cables, and tightly close the charging port water
cap. If the water cap is not properly closed, water resistance will be compromised
and could result in damage to the speaker or personal injury.
WARNING: DO NOT CHARGE THE SPEAKER OR A MOBILE
DEVICE WHILE IT IS NEAR WATER OR IF IT MAY GET WET.
ALLOW AMPLE TIME TO DRY AFTER BEING SPLASHED.
Previously Connected Devices
• The speaker can remember multiple Bluetooth devices and will always try to
re-connect to the last device used.
• To re-connect to a different device, turn off Bluetooth on unwanted devices,
then access the Bluetooth settings menu on the device you wish to use and
select XSBW239.
Troubleshooting
If the speaker should become unpaired and will not connect normally, try the
suggestions below.
• With the speaker powered ON, press the
button twice to enter Bluetooth
Pairing Mode. A voice will announce, “Bluetooth is connecting,” search for
and select XSBW239 in the Bluetooth Settings to pair.
• On your Bluetooth device, remove the speaker (“Forget This Device”) from
the list of connected devices.
• On your Bluetooth device, turn Bluetooth OFF then ON again.
• Power the speaker OFF, then ON again, and repeat the Initial Bluetooth
Connection steps.
