3. Press the

P key

on the laptop’s keyboard to cycle through the various volume

level settings; stop and familiarize yourself with the three settings used when
setting the HPSA’s Volume Control as follows:

a. Stop at

[Master]

Figure 7.10 above, identifies the Master setting,

which will be

verified or adjusted in

Section 7.2.3.1.

b. Stop at

[Line In][Left]

: Figure 7.11 identifies the Line-In setting, which will be

verified or adjusted in

Section 7.2.3.1.

When the Control Panel screen is on the Main Menu, HyperTerminal is
activated for changing settings. If the Control Panel is not on the Main
Menu, HyperTerminal will default to the Master setting as indicated in
Figure 7.11 and will not accept selection commands.
