Installing a Ground Mount

4.3

INSTALLING A GROUND MOUNT

The HPSA-7100-R ground mount option includes two pedestals that are connected to the
bottom of the HPSA-7100-R electronics cabinet. Mounting the HPSA-7100-R to the
ground is completed in two parts: Installing the Pedestals and Ground Mounting the
Electronics Cabinet.

When installing the Speakers/Horn Assemblies:

•

Care should be taken to use corrosion resistant material for
hardware and support structures such as struts, fasteners,
straps, banding, etc.

•

Consider the use of anti-seize compounds to prevent threaded
couplings from binding, corroding, and pitting. Select an
appropriate compound based on environmental factors and the
type of hardware and materials used during installation.

Any installation material that is cut, such as a strut or bracket, should
have the cut ends sealed with Zinc Galvanizing paint to protect the
exposed area.

INSTALLATION OF THE HPSA AND SPEAKER/HORN ASSEMBLIES
SHOULD BE DESIGNED AND INSPECTED FOR STRUCTURAL SAFETY
AND INTEGRITY BY QUALIFIED PERSONNEL. ALL INSTALLATIONS
SHOULD BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH COUNTRY, NATIONAL, OR
LOCAL AUTHORITIES HAVING JURISDICTION.

The pedestals must be installed on the cabinet prior to drilling any
holes in the mounting location.

Measurements in Figure 4.1 are shown in inches.
