Serial Link
3.6.1
Interface Description
A serial link interface is available on the Integra M2106+ Wireless CPU
®
. It is compliant with V24 signaling
protocol with a 2.8 V electrical interface except TX, RTS, and DTR inputs, which can be either 5 V or 3 V.
This means the serial link not compliant with the V28 standard and a level shifter is required to connect to a
PC.
The available signals are:
•
Tx data (CT103/TX),
•
Rx data (CT104/RX),
•
Request To Send (CT105/RTS),
•
Clear To Send (CT106/CTS),
•
Data Terminal Ready (CT108-2/DTR),
•
Data Set Ready (CT107/DSR).
Two additional signals are necessary to have the complete RS232 signal set:
•
Data Carrier Detect (CT109/DCD),
•
Ring Indicator (CT125/RI).
