SECTION 2: INSTALLATION
On all Centurion models it is strongly recommended that the pressure regulator be installed a
minimum distance of 10 pipe diameters between the pressure regulator and the nearest
downstream
fittings (an elbow or the unit itself), and a minimum of 5 pipe diameters between the
pressure regulator and any
upstream
fitting, such as elbow or shutoff valve, as shown below.

2.8.3 Massachusetts Installations Only
For Massachusetts installations, a mandatory external gas supply regulator must be positioned
as shown in Figure 2-11. The gas supply regulator must be properly vented outdoors.
2.8.4 Manual Gas Shutoff Valve
A manual shut-off valve must be installed in the gas line upstream from the unit, as shown.

External AC power connection is made inside the Power Panel, located on the front of the unit,
behind the unit’s removable front panel.
