STEP 6
Partially open downstream isolation valve to establish flow through
the system.
STEP 7
Fine tune the Pressure Reducing Control to the desired pres-
sure set point by turning the adjustment screw IN, clockwise to
increase (See Figure 2A) or OUT, counterclockwise to decrease
downstream pressure (See Figure 2B).
STEP 8
Gradually open downstream isolation valve until full open.
Setting the Pressure Reducing Control
STEP 9
Opening Speed Flow Control Adjustment:
The Opening speed
flow control allows free flow into the cover and restricted flow out
of the cover of the main valve.
If the downstream pressure fluctuates slightly below the desired
set point, turn the adjustment screw OUT, counterclockwise,
increasing the rate of opening (See Figure 3B).
STEP 10
Closing Speed Valve Adjustment: The closing speed needle valve
regulates fluid pressure into the main valve cover chamber, con-
trolling the valve closing speed.
If the downstream pressure fluctuates slightly above the desired
set point, turn the adjustment screw OUT, counterclockwise,
increasing the rate of closing.
STEP 11
De-energize solenoid to check that the main valve closes.
STEP 12
At valve closure booster pump will stop. Adjust limit switch collar
to final position to ensure positive actuation of limit switch elec-
trical contact, if necessary, by sliding up/down to location (See
Figure 4).
