Setting the Pressure Reducing
Control
STEP 4
Open downstream isolation valve partially to establish flow through
the valve, observing downstream pressure change. Increase of
pressure should stop below the desired pressure reducing setting.
STEP 5
Gradually open downstream isolation valve until full open.
STEP 6
Fine tune the Pressure Reducing Control to the desired pressure
set point by turning the adjustment screw IN, clockwise to
increase or OUT, counterclockwise to decrease downstream
pressure (See Figure 2).
Setting the Surge Control
Note: Surge Control is set at a higher PSI than the
Pressure Reducing Control.
STEP 1
Increase the downstream pressure to the surge control pressure
set point by turning the Pressure Reducing Control adjustment
screw IN, clockwise.
STEP 2
Adjust the Surge Control by turning the adjustment screw OUT,
counterclockwise, to decrease, the downstream pressure surge
set-point until the Surge Control starts to reduce the downstream
pressure. Turn the adjustment screw out to the required set point
(See Figure 3).
STEP 3
Decrease the downstream pressure to the reducing pressure set
point by turning the Pressure Reducing Control adjustment screw
OUT, counterclockwise. (See Figure 2).
