Software - GUI Control Panel

4.4.3.1   Establishing the RS232 Connection

Procedure

1. Switch off the DigiVAC Mains On/Off Switch.
2. Remove the L/H side cover from the base module.
3. Connect the RS232 cable from the computer to the RS232 port on the GUI

CPU.

4. Open Hyperterminal on your computer. In the window that appears, type

in a name for the connection, and choose an icon to represent it (see Figure
4:12). Click on the OK button.

5. In the next window, drag down on the ‘Connect Using’ menu, and select

the serial port that the RS232 cable is connected to. In the example shown
in Figure 4:13, this port is ‘Com 1’. Once you have selected a serial port,
the other menus will be greyed out. Click on the OK button.
