Tower B Top Module & Two-Tower DigiVAC Systems
3.11.2 Removing the Tower Link Assembly
It may be necessary to remove the tower link assembly from the top module in
order to gain better access during certain procedures.
Procedure
1. Switch off the entire system and disconnect the mains power supply from
Tower B.
2. Disconnect the tower link assembly communications cable from the con-
nector socket in the Tower A top module.

3. Carefully undock the tower link assembly from its locating points on the
Tower A top module and push Tower B away.
Caution
Remember that the tower link assembly will need supporting until it is clear of
Tower A. Always move the DigiVAC not the tower link assembly. Applying
lateral forces on the tower link assembly to move the collator can result in
damage.
4. Loosen the fixing screws and remove the L/H top, side panel from Tower
B.
5. Disconnect the communications and earth cable assembly from the 900-
194 PCB and earth tab respectively. Release the cable from the clip inside
the Top Module and feed it carefully out through the access hole.

6. Release the cable assembly from the clip on the R/H pivot plate (see Figure
