When using this appliance, always adhere to basic safety precautions including the
following:
1.

2. This Purifier is recommended for use with only potable water supplies.
DO
NOT
attempt to make safe drinking water from nonpotable water sources.
3. This Purifier requires no special care other than general cleaning and periodic
filter replacement (page 8-9). If servicing becomes necessary, please contact
your authorized dealer or an authorized service facility.
DO NOT
attempt to
repair Purifier yourself. There are
NO
user serviceable parts. See warranty
for service details.
4. Operate in a well-ventilated area away from other heat sources. Keep Purifier
at least 2 inches from walls or cabinets when in use.
DO NOT
place on or
near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
5.
DO NOT
touch hot surfaces. Although insulated, bottom of Purifier gets very
warm during use. Be sure the surface it sits on is able to withstand heat.
6. Plug Purifier into a
GROUNDED
120 volt electrical outlet only. This
appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce
the risk of electrical shock, the plug will fit into a polarized outlet only one
way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still
does not fit, contact a qualified electrician.
DO NOT
modify the plug in
anyway.
7. A short power supply cord is provided to reduce risks resulting from becoming
entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
8. If an extension cord must be used, its marked electrical rating should be at
least as great as the electrical rating of the Purifier.
9.
DO NOT
allow power cord or extension cord to hang over the edge of a
counter or contact hot surfaces.
DO NOT
use Purifier if cord is damaged or
defective.
10. To protect against fire, electrical shock, and injury to persons,
DO NOT
immerse power cord or Purifier in water or liquid.
11. Close supervision is necessary when this or any appliance is used by or near
children. Hot boiling water will scald if spilled on skin.
12. Never remove the kettle cover while Purifier is operating. Let cool at least
30 minutes after a cycle is finished. Boiling water or steam can cause severe burns.

13. Unplug from wall outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool
before putting on or taking off parts and before cleaning.

plug steam vent on top of kettle cover.
15.
DO NOT
operate with a damaged cord or plug, after a malfunction, or
if the Purifier has been damaged in any manner. Return to an authorized
dealer or qualified service facility for examination, repair, or replacement.

DO NOT
place too near an edge of the supported surface where Distiller can
be bumped or be pulled down on someone.
17. Use
INDOORS
on a dry, level, well supported, stable surface.
DO NOT
use
outdoors.
18.
DO NOT
use appliance for other than intended use.
19. Make sure collection/storage carafe is properly placed for water collection.
20.
DO NOT
move Purifier while it is operating or cooling.
21.
DO NOT
operate in a moving vehicle.
22.
DO NOT
operate Purifier without water in the kettle. Permanent damage
may occur.
23. For good quality product water and to prevent overflow of the storage carafe,
DO NOT FILL THE KETTLE ABOVE THE “MAX” FILL LINE
.
24. Never remove the kettle while fan motor is running, or for at least 30 minutes
after cycle is complete.
SEVERE BURNS CAN RESULT FROM BOILING
WATER OR STEAM.
These products conform to ANSI/NSF 62 for the specific performance claims as
verified and substantiated by test data.
