TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem
Error cause / Remedy
What to do
Pump does not start No power
Check the electrical socket using another
electrical device. Check the fuse box.
Fuse or RCD triggered
Check the fuse and the RCD, replace or switch
them on again if necessary
Overload protection triggered
Switch off the pump and let the motor cool down,
then switch it on again. Make sure that the motor
and pump are adequately ventilated. Make sure
that the pump is not blocked by foreign objects
and that the motor shaft rotates freely. It is
possible that the supply voltage to the motor has
dropped.
Pump blocked (check that the
shaft can rotate freely)
Filter or suction nozzle clogged. Ball bearings
possibly blocked
Shaft is possibly blocked
Inlet possibly blocked/clogged
Filter or suction nozzle clogged.
Free the shaft from the blockage by turning
(switch off power first)
Motor burned out due to
voltage peaks or flooding
The motor needs to be replaced
Pump is working
with reduced or no
flow
Filter is dirty
Clean the filter system (see operating instructions
for the filter system)
Air in the installation
Flush the pump again with water (see priming
instructions). Check hoses for getting in. Check
the filter system for leaks.
No water
Make sure that the water level in the swimming
pool is above the water outlet
Inlet possibly blocked/clogged
Clean the inlet
Leaks between
housing and motor
Housing screws not
properly tightened. Housing
seal worn. Mechanical lock
needs
to be replaced
Switch off the pump and loosen the housing
screws. Before retightening the screws, check
the alignment and condition of the seal. If the
problem persists, replace the seal. Reinstall the
mechanical seal or sealing lip (if available).
