Hardware Description

This description applies to all WatchGuard

®

 SSL 500 and 

WatchGuard SSL 1000 models. 

Front view

The photograph below shows the entire front of the 
devices.

The photograph below shows a close-up of the left side of 
the device. From the left:

LCD indicator panel and console buttons

The LCD screen shows device status information.

LCD console buttons

You use the LCD console buttons to see status 
information and start recovery procedures.

If you press and hold the Up button when you 
turn on the power, the device boots into Safe 
Mode.

For detailed information on the LCD indicator 
panel and the LCD console buttons, see “Using 
the LCD Interface” on page 7.
