Sympodium ID350 Interactive Pen Display
Setting up the Sympodium
The Sympodium is connected to a computer by a VGA cable and a USB cable, and to a data
projector by a VGA cable
Ensure that both the Sympodium and computer are switched off before connecting them
Press the power button on the top right of the Sympodium and the power indicator button
should be illuminated orange
Switch on the computer and the power indicator button should turn blue which shows that
the unit is in active mode and is receiving a video signal from the computer. If the indicator
remains orange check the cables are connected correctly
Using the Sympodium
Pen-tool buttons
Returns pen to mouse mode
Selects digital ink colours
Erases digital ink
Press the mouse mode button to allow the stylus pen to function as a mouse. By touching
the screen with the pen you will be able to control computer applications
To write over your desktop image in digital ink simply press either the black, blue, or red
pen-tool button
To erase your notes, select the eraser pen-tool button and move the pen in a smooth motion
over your notes
Pressing the mouse button at any time will return the pen to mouse mode
