2. Install Synthetic Rope:
Feed the synthetic rope through the smaller winch drum opening. Note: In order to feed the rope
through the hole, you will need to push the rope through with a thin screwdriver. Terminate the rope
by leaving a 3” tail sticking out of the drum. See figure 2. Rotate the drum so the rope being wound
up will wrap around the tail. See figure 3. Note: The cable should always pull from the bottom of the
drum. A minimum of eight wraps is required on the drum for all winching.
