bearing pin (9) must be examined. If the limit dimensions according to the table under 4.1 are un-
dershot, the hook pin must be replaced completely.
4.1.3 LOCKING PIN
(see fig. 7)
The dowel pins (5) must be checked regularly for central seating and replaced if necessary. If the
limit dimensions according to the table under 4.1 are undershot, the bolt must be replaced com-
pletely.
4.1.4 SQUARE TUBE
(see fig. 6 and fig. 7)
The holes in the square tube (2) must be checked regularly, if necessary the square tube must be
replaced. For this purpose, the square tube is moved down with the pull hook (3) so that the con-
necting bolt (5) is visible. After loosening the M12x20 cylinder screw, the bolt can be pushed out
and the square tube can be removed from the hitch (1). When installing the new towing hook, make
sure that the locking pin is in the center. Then tighten the cylindrical screw and secure it with Loctite.
4.1.5 CYLINDER PIN
(see fig. 7)
The circlips (14) must be checked regularly to ensure they are seated correctly and replaced if
necessary. If the limit dimensions according to the table in 4.1 are undershot, the cylinder pin (15)
must be replaced completely.
4.2 CARE AND LUBRICATION
Any dirt and corrosion must always be cleaned off the pick-up hitch to guarantee correct operation.
All moving must be lubricated regularly (depending on the length of use) and checked for ease of
movement.
If possible, avoid cleaning with a high pressure cleaner. If this is unavoidable, re-grease the towing
frame soon.
For lubrication, remove the old grease and lubricate the towing frame with fresh grease. The pick-
up hitch must be lubricated with water-resistant, multi-purpose grease suitable for the temperature
range from -40 °C to +120 °C.
4.3 REPAIR
The respective authorized dealer is responsible for the repair of the pick-up hitch. In principle, only
original Walterscheid spare parts may be used.
4.4 SAFETY NOTES:

The user is obliged to always operate the pick-up hitch in perfect condition and to forbid its use by
unauthorised persons.

The characteristic values resp. loads indicated on the type plate may not be exceeded.

Unauthorised conversion or modification of the coupling is not permitted.
