4. Safety
4.1 Proper intended use
The hail protector cover protects your vehicle from hail damage. The hail protector cover consists of a foam material on
the upper surface, which absorbs the impact of hailstones.
The hail protector cover is only intended for private use and may only be used on parked vehicles. The hail protector co -
ver must only be used for vehicles parked on public traffic areas, as reflective surfaces, illuminating devices and number
plates are covered.
Only use the hail protector cover as described in these user instructions. Any other use is considered to be improper and
can lead to material damage or even personal injury.
The manufacturer or dealer accepts no liability for damage or injury caused by improper or incorrect use.
4.2 Safety instructions

Risk of death!
Incorrect attachment of the hail protector cover can lead to personal injury.
→ Fasten the hail protector cover firmly to your vehicle. A hail protector cover that is not properly secured can
be blown away by the wind and therefore lead to accidents.
→ Before each use, check that the retaining straps are not damaged. The hail protector cover can be blown
away by the wind, if the retaining straps are damaged.

Risk of injury!
Incorrect attachment of the hail protector cover can lead to personal injury.
→ When attaching the hail protector cover, ensure that hot vehicle parts, such as the exhaust, have cooled
down so that you do not burn yourself.

Risk of damage!
Improper handling of the hail protector cover can lead to damage of the vehicle or the cover.
→ Do not use the hail protector cover on a vehicle that has been repainted within the last 4 months, otherwise
the paint may be damaged.
→ Never place the hail protector cover over hot areas of the vehicle.
→ Avoid any long-term use of the hail protector cover on your vehicle. Always remove the hail protector cover
from your vehicle after the hail storm is over. Long-term use can lead to discoloration of the paintwork. Pro -
longed sunlight will cause the hail protector cover to age rapidly making it brittle and faded.
→ Only use the hail protector cover on clean vehicles. Dust and dirt under the cover can damage the paint of
your vehicle.
→ Only use the hail protection tarpaulin on dry vehicles to prevent freezing. The tarpaulin can be damaged
by freezing.
5. Use
• If any antennas or attachments protrude from your vehicle, remove them before using the cover.
• Unpack the hail protector cover and spread it out on a clean and dry surface.
• Check that the retaining straps are not damaged.
• Locate the sewn-in label with an arrow (Image 1). This indicates the front section of the hail protector cover.
• Attach the front section of the hail protector cover underneath the front bumper.
• Pull the hail protector cover over your vehicle.
• Make sure that the foam material section is spread evenly over the vehicle.
• Pull the two sewn-on retaining straps and the three additional retaining straps under your vehicle (Image 2). Place the
additional retaining straps evenly on your vehicle (Image 3).
• Tighten the retaining straps (Image 4).
6. Cleaning
The hail protector cover can be cleaned by hand using lukewarm water and washing up liquid. After washing, allow the
cover to dry thoroughly. Do not dry the cover under direct sunlight.
7. Storage
Do not fold the hail protector cover while it is wet or damp. Always make sure that the cover is completely dry before you
fold it up for storage. Store the hail protector cover in a dry and dark place.
8. Disposal
The hail protector cover and the storage bag can be disposed of with the normal household rubbish.
Dispose of the packaging in separated waste streams. Packing paper and cardboard should go for cardboard recycling,
and plastic film in the collection of recyclable materials.
